The SAFCO steel flat file is ideal for both work-in-progress and archival storage.  The 5-drawer (2 1/8" Drawers) and 10-drawer (1 1/8" Drawers) models provide a reliable place to store flat all your valuable documents and graphics.  All files are modular -- they can be used individually or in a space-saving stack.  If your filing needs grow, simply add another flat file cabinet.  Museum/archival quality paint finish ensures that there is no out-gassing and that the atmosphere in the flat files has no acidity or alkalinity (ph) created by the finish.

5-Drawer Flat Files:
Versatile file stores up to 500 sheets per unit active filing, 750 sheets of semi-active or 1,000 sheets of inactive material.  Five large capacity 2 1/8" deep drawers in three cabinet sizes.

10-Drawer Flat Files:
Ideal for high traffic project storage areas.  Ten 1 1/8" deep drawers allow the easy retrieval or materials Can be stacked with 5-drawer cabinets for customized high volume storage

SAFCO File Construction Features:

• SAFCO steel flat files have a welded steel construction with sturdy inner frames and case hardened ball bearing rollers

• Extra strength drawer rails ensure proper drawer alignment for smooth operation without jamming

• Heavy steel side-roller assembly with case-hardened steel ball bearing rollers

• Courtesy stops keep drawers from rolling while in open position

• Sheets are protected by rear hood and hinged front depressor in each flat file drawer which prevents them from curling

• Functionally designed label holders and chrome drawer handles

• Positive closure keeps drawers tightly shut

• They stack securely without bolting or brackets, using anti-slip pads (included with each unit)

Flat File Accessory Information:

Low Base for Steel Flat Files:
Raises 6" off the floor for easier access.  Protects files from dirt, scuffs, and moisture.  Safely stack files up to 5 high.  The front is recessed 2 3/4" for toe space.

High Base for Steel Flat Files:
Base has enclosed back and sides with open front for extra bookshelf space.  Raises file 20" off the floor to bring the top to a convenient 36" working height.  Sturdy all steel construction.

Plan File Portfolios:
Project folders for your flat file keep large documents organized inside the file drawers.  Helps prevent curling.  Comes with a hand hold at the top of the folder and is constructed of heavy duty redrope for long life.  Packaged 10 per carton.

Drawer Dividers:
Dividers are designed for use in all 2" deep drawers.  Dividers are self-sticking rigid vinyl, 11" long sections which provide easy separation of the material in the drawers.  Easily cut for custom fit.  Available in black.

Lock Kit:
Provides added protection for all of your filed material.  Field installed.  Includes two brass keys.
